Hello Group! My name is Erin Saelens. This is my final class in the MSPM program and I am very excited!! I am a case manager for Arizona Child Protective Services. I specifically work with young adults ages 18-21. I hope to leave the social work field as soon as I'm done with this program. As my husband says, "I need to see a return on your investment" (referring to this program). I served in the Air Force for four years and previously worked as a security clearance adjudicator for CSC. I am 32 weeks pregnant and hoping to make it through the class smoothly. I look forward to working with you all.

It's great to meet you Erin. :)
Congratulations on your impending arrival. Hopefully baby will be courteous and wait for mom to finish class before arriving. My youngest daughter was born on May 5th this year which was about 1 week after my final exam in Operations Management. She was very cooperative. I look forward to working with you!
I enjoyed seeing the pictures on your blog and thought you gave a nice introduction about who you are and what you do.

Good luck and best wishes to all of you! Good to have you on this course and here's to good times ahead!
Hi Erin,
The world is such a small place. Your background has traces of places and experiences that have similarities to mine. My husband and I were in the Army and my son is stationed with the Air Force in Tucson, Arizona. We both worked in tactical and strategic intelligence assignments and had TS/SCI clearances - so one of your predecessors might have processed our security clearances all those many years ago. Also, my husband worked for CSC for almost a year when he left the service.
It seems to be a joyful time since your life is going to be changing significantly in the near future with the baby and completing your degree. CONGRATULATIONS on both accounts!
Was your color palette chosen because of the baby? There is one section that is a bit difficult to read, under the section where you are asking for help due to the facilitator comments, because of the lack of contrast with the font color against the background.
Nice to meet you and thanks for sharing all your exciting news.
Hi Jean:
Wow we have a lot in common! My husband is still in the Air Force and is stationed at DM. What does your son do? Both my husband and I were linguists. CSC is a great company to work for. I worked from home when attending law school and had to leave the perfect job and school to be stationed at DM. As far as the color scheme goes. I just like bright beatiful colors. You should see my house. Hot orange, lavender, blue, yellow, etc. But don't worry it looks good I promise!
Hi Erin,
My son, Michael, is staying at D-M AFB while he is attending Paramedic School at Pima Community College. He is in the pararescue training pipeline. He is supposed to graduate paramedic school on December 22 and head back to Albuquerque, NM in order to settle back in to their rooms and fly home for the holidays. After Christmas, he will be reporting to Ft. Benning, Georgia for Army Airborne School on January 8, 2009.
Interesting that you and your husband are linguists. My first assignment in the Army was with 103rd Military Intelligence Battalion in Germany. We had tactical intelligence and most of our personnel were linguists. One of my responsibilities was to run the training program for the unit which was quite complex to ensure we had the right amount of rotations through our field stations as well as Berlin back in the early 1980s.
With all that information related to personal stuff, I have to admit that I like the new color scheme a bit more than the previous time I visited.
~~Warmest Wishes~~
