WHAT?!
I just heard from a classmate in a previous class that in order to graduate we have to take something called the ALEKS exam. Anybody know anything about this?

Erin, I believe the Aleks exam is a prerequisite for some of the core financial courses. It's a mathematical aptitude test, but from what I've read on discussion boards in previous classes, it's not very hard, and you can keep giving it until you clear it.
I should probably be shot for giving unsubstantiated and uncited information, but I'll try looking up what has been said about the Aleks exam!
Erin, no reason to fret...it is a tutorial that is a prerequisite for one of the finance classes. They shouldn't let you take whichever class it is before you complete the tuturial (It was one of the first few classes I took, so I did it about a year ago & I don't remember which class it is required for anymore). It is not all that painful, just time consuming, especially because it covers math that you probably haven't utilized since High School! There are lessons to compelete & then quizes to take & you get to repeat them as many times as it takes to get them all right. Hope that calms some of your fears :-)
Currently I am expecting my first child in late December. It's a girl and we're so excited!! Life has been focused on getting ready for her arrival and finishing my master's.
